Great torque. Excellent cordless drill. Very powerful and battery charge last a long time.
The light on the drill is genius, Seems I'm always in a place that is dark so the light lights up the area of the screw.This drill is not for boring holes in wood, You would need a larger capacity drill for that. This tool is great for an A/C mechanic, It seems like I take out or put back a million screws on A/C panels or I'm using the tool for putting in sheet metal screws in sheet metal.This Impactor is light to carry and use. One of my buddies was so impressed he had to get one too. But for most jobs this drill is a must tool.It has taken a beating for a year and still runs perfect. The battery charge last a long time and I'm very impressed with the life of the battery. It is easy to take on a roof or hold above your head when I am putting up supply grills.
It is noisy but not objectionably so and certainly has the feel of quality you expect from Bosh. I've used the PS40 on some stubborn drilling and fastener projects and it prevented me from having to bring out the big gun drivers with old generation battery charge issues as well as weight. The nice thing about this product is that it gets you through the tough chores the rest of the PS series can bog down at. Especially when offered as refurbished, the net cost is little more than what the two included batteries would cost alone.
Very light and very powerful. A fantastic tool for anyone who uses a drill frequently. Great battery time and a fast recharge. I do a lot of set up (like movie sets) and I use this tool the most. I use it while the other guys have thier 18V DeWalts at 6-8lbs or more and I can keep up with them screw for screw.
If you're looking for an very useful and more moderately priced tool this might be the one for you. It would drive 2 inch deck screws all day without pre-drilling but if you're driving 3 1/2 deck screws you might be disappointed.I have both the PS40 and PS20 10.8 versions and they are the first drivers I reach for around the house. The PS40-2 10.8 version works great for those DIY jobs around the house and those times you're up on a ladder and want to just drop your driver into a tool pouch and not think about it again, this is the tool for you.I bought the PS40-2 because the newer version was $80.00 dollars more but I think this driver would work for a majority of DIY'ers out there. If you're looking for a heavy duty impact driver for all day construction, I don't think the PS40-2 will make you happy.
